Just hours before Samsung introduced its new Orion processor powerhouse yesterday, LG announced that it will ship Android phones with dual-core CPUs in Q4 this year. This is seriously impressive stuff – the guys from the unrevoked team did it again, and this version 3.2 is definitely their best release yet. Most of the credit, outside of the core unrevoked team, belongs to Sebastian Krahmer for discovering the exploit that works on all supported phones. This is pretty cool – looks like redditors have come together to build and track a speadsheet on upcoming tablets. Today we are getting a first look at the Toshiba Folio tablet, an Android based powerhouse that was announced at IFA 2010. The Folio looks like it will be another serious contender in what is, apparently, the fast growing market of Android tablets. Well this is getting downright interesting – after some pricing confusion , rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will sell for somewhere between $200 and $400 on contract. Image Credit: Modaco Score another one for the open source Android developer community over at XDA.  Some of the users over there have discovered another update to the Froyo ROM for the Nexus One, with build number FRG33.  It has been found that the ROM has some minor bugfixes and a newer version of the installed radio than in the latest official released build. A lot of users were hoping that this leaked ROM might be a Gingerbread build...

According to HTC’s official Twitter account , Twitter and the manufacturer have ironed out the bugs that were created when Twitter changed its authorization system a few days ago and broke both Peep and Friend Stream logins: I have tested it on my EVO and can confirm that it is working properly. I’m not sure how such a major screwup could have fallen through the cracks at HTC, but let’s hope it won’t happen again.  Read More →
