We don’t hear too much about the Acer Liquid these days, but that doesn’t mean the phone is forgotten. Far from it, in fact. Word of Wind Mobile picking up the Motorola Milestone XT720 has been blowing in the, er, wind for some time now , but a recent shot of an internal training screen reveals that the handset launch should be right around the corner. This will mark a significant upgrade from the carrier’s first Android handset the low-end Huawei U8100. The Motorola Milestone 2 and Motorola Defy seem to speeding their way towards Vodafone Germany, as the company had both handsets on display at their booth at this year’s IFA . While no release date is known at this time, the presence of the devices suggests we could be seeing them on the carrier soon enough. While “more” images of the Milestone 2 are almost a moot point with the identical (in appearance) Droid 2 floating around... 

“And they said it couldn’t do that!” Following the string of scares that started with the Droid X regarding eFuse, locked bootloaders, and killer unicorns, many were skeptical of the device’s hackability. Just like they did before when all the cool kids were mocking antennagate (funny how a couple million dollars of free cases will silence critics so quick), Motorola is flinging the proverbial poo at Apple in their latest full-page ad for the Droid 2 found in the New York Times. This time they take Apple to task on Flash, which actually was in vogue before the whole antenna thing but has sort of settled down as the two sides more or less agreed... 

We knew the Dell Streak’s 2.1 upgrade was just about finished – and a manual installation file was seen floating around the internet, but we can now confirm that the upgrade to Android 2.1 (Eclair, if you’ve forgotten) is being pushed out over the air.
