The rumored Motorola MZ600 Android tablet has surfaced it again.  According to the team over at Phandroid , the tablet appeared in Verizon’s inventory showing demo, dummy and official versions.  This means that the device is a possible go for next year, but obviously nothing is official yet.  Interestingly, there is no mention of the word “DROID” which is disappointing, so who knows if it will  Read More →

The Android community is growing and becoming quite impressive.  A very large, and huge part of that community are Android’s army of developers.  It is because of this and the role that they play, that we will be featuring developers as often as we can in our very own Developer’s Spotlight. For the very first Developer’s Spotlight , we would like to welcome Android developer David Shellabarger, mastermind behind the very...

While we haven’t heard much about the Acer Liquid as of late, it is still definitely being supported by the folks over at Acer.  That said, they are currently in the process of testing Android 2.2 for the Acer Liquid.  It was during this very testing (no we don’t know what phase), that Android 2.2 was leaked to MoDaCo member LIQUID_USER. From what is being said, the build is very stable, and the Liquid gets a major boost in performance. ...

I’m severely disappointed in Verizon and Samsung. The Samsung Fascinate , Big Red’s version of the Galaxy S, has been reviewed by the folks over at Engadget. They were quick to point out that the search widget is BING, not Google Search. It does make sense to a certain degree, as there’s a Bing app only available to Verizon customers. Apparently, Big Red would rather use a Microsoft search engine on a Google -powered device....

In a press release put out today, Mobile Security firm NetQin is reporting that through GetJar’s pay per download ad campaign system, they have seen 100% growth in the US market for their product, as well as a 90% conversion rate from the ad campaign they are running.  If that sounds a bit confusing, it is understandable!  Simply put, NetQin …  Read More →

Samsung isn’t the only company announcing Android tablets today .  Toshiba just dropped the Android 2.2-powered Folio 100 on the world.  The specs read like a strong device, with its 1024 x 600 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, Tegra 2 processor, and 16GB of built-in memory.  Other features, like the HDMI output, SD card slot, WiFi support, and 1.3 megapixel webcam would have you thinking this will be a force to be reckoned with. Sadly,...

We have seen renders, heard release dates, seen hands-on photos, and now we have a price.  That’s right folks, thanks to the team  over at TmoNew s, we now know how much the G2 will cost on contract and off contract.  Take a look at the image above, it clearly shows, the T-Mobile G2 being sold for $200 dollars on contract, and $499 without. Obviously, this might change, but the price seems right. Overall, I can’t say I am surprised,...

Get used to seeing a bunch of Android tablet rumors and announcements.  They are not going anywhere anytime soon.  Like the state of handsets a year ago, the future of Android is littered with devices.  Today sees LG announcing (translate) their new “Optimus Pad”.  We don’t have any specs or hard details at this point, but we’re anxious to learn what the handset maker has up their sleeves.  The more crowded the tablet...

BGR has obtained some actual, concrete evidence that the Samsung Tab just might be headed for Verizon. The proof? A screenshot of the Galaxy Tab in Verizon’s internal inventory system. Now that is something that makes me excited folks! An awesome network and an awesome device. As always, information like this can change.  Nothing is 100%. As soon as we know more, we will let you guys know. Source: BoyGeniusReport Samsung Galaxy Tab Appears...

The long awaited Bing for Android application was unveiled today by Microsoft.  The app is extremely sharp and features a daily featured image, just like Bing on the desktop.   In addition to this, you can also swipe through seven days’ worth of images. Microsoft’s own voice search also works with Android’s speech-to-text function, and you can use Bing…  Read More →
