Another inbox goodie for you this morning! Check out the video below which shows a beta version of a device called M Tube . Caught on film at Broadband 2009 in Taipei, the mobile internet device (MID) allows users to share pictures, video, and more with their television sets by dragging and dropping. Philippine carrier hits turbulence...Philippine Airlines may be forced to ground its fleet permanently if it cannot boost its pilot ranks by October. Twenty-five pilots resigned abruptly last month, seeking employment elsewhere. They say bad work conditions and worsening labour disputes led to their en-masse resignation. International regulations stipulate that pilots cannot fly more than 1000 hours a year. By October, most Philippine Airlines pilots would have reached their limits. Libertarian vs. State...AIRCRAFT CA...Response to Vogter and Sarahon. Sarahon believes in Libertarianism, Vogter the State, my position is; Aircraft Carrier! I like the idea of a Libertarian society but see no short term solution for having one in my life time. Every successful model I think of that doesn't open the doorway to societal abuse takes at least 50-100 years. I'm not a big fan of Hobbes but lets face it, you can't discount his work entirely. And yes, I start off with another damned political rant. Sue me. It was hot and when it is hot I tend to ramble. Oh, if you do sue me, I will respond with my new Aircraft Carrier.
