I wonder how feasible it is for Google since they have not been sued to launch a Search for Prior Art on Apple’s Patents campaign? I do not think they could offer Nexus One’s as direct prizes but I am sure they could come up with other prizes. But on a good note, all the OEMs attempts at new UIs gets pushed right back in the Google/OH camp to accomplish  Read More →

The HTC Legend’s been tearing up the internet recently and earning itself some rave reviews this week, and it looks like HTC could be about to hit the sweet spot between a compromise on size – it has a middle-of-the-road 3.2″ screen – and an affordable price tag. Play.com, the place everyone in the UK buys their DVDs from, has started offering the Legend for £369 in an unlocked form, significantly less than the £439 it…  Read More →

According to BerryScoop, who claim to have received word from a “trusted source,” the Droid Eris is about to be replaced. It seems that the Droid Eris will be EOL’d (end-of-life) on April 1, 2010. Now normally I would recommend any would be purchasers in holding off a few weeks before making a purchase, but  Read More →

Hello all, I released an update for BreakTheBlocks Lite this past weekend.  The main update was switching advertising providers from Admob to the beta for Google Adsense for Mobile Applications. I have received some feedback regarding “lag” in this game.  The main thing that can be done to prevent this lag is kill unneeded tasks with a task manager like Advanced Task Manager or Taskiller.  Applciaitons that run…  Read More →

In the spirit of line drawing games where you control an items path with the line you draw such as in Flight Director comes another game similar to it called Flight Frenzy by Big Fun Games. Like Flight Director, you control the fate of airships (and their passengers) by plotting a course for it to land safely while trying not to crash into the other airships you're controlling. Someone I follow on Twitter claimed that his friend – a manager at a T-Mobile store – was being trained on several phones slated to come to the carrier this year. Among those phones was a little device known as the HTC Desire. I reached out to a couple of contacts I have at T-Mobile retail  Read More →

One phone we’ve been hearing about for what seems like an eternity is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.  After getting announced back in 2009, we’ve been patiently awaiting its arrival here in the US.  The biggest problem we’ve seen facing the X10 is that it’s slated to arrive with Android 1.6 under the hood.  According to CNET Asia, the Xperia line of handsets could get an update  to Android 2.2 /Froyo  later this year....

Mobile advertisements can seem odd and out of context on most ad supported applications. That is why being able to target advertisements to customers when and where they need them is so important. uLocate, the comapany that created Where a location-based search and recommendation app, announced that they are starting their own “hyper-local” advertising network called Where  Read More →

T-Mobile is expected to roll out the CLIQ XT as of tomorrow March 10 but in the meantime that has not stopped a few individuals from securing and posting a few last minute goodies. First up is the sales pamphlet, which judging from the title “sell it in 60 seconds” seems to be aimed at making  Read More →

As expected, Rogers has officially announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Spica. And due to the previous rumors and leaks this announcement comes mostly as a refresher but here goes. Feature wise, the handset offers a 3.2-inch (320 x 480) touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and ships with a  Read More →

Last week I was speaking on Android at SMX West an Internet Marketing conference in Santa Clara California just outside San Jose. Keynoting the SMX West conference was Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer , when Q&A was opened to the audience I asked him his vision of Microsoft in the mobile space going forward. At the 1 hour 21 minute 50 seconds point in the Ustream video below I spoke to Steve Ballmer. I first complemented the Windows Phone 7...

Even though this isn't directly related to a particular game, it's important because it helps every game developer out there developing games for Android. Google announces NDK r3 for Android and the main deal with this revision is about OpenGL ES access for developers. Read more…  Read More →

We warned you the porn floodgates were being opened on the Android Market, as disaffected FILTH CODERS come to Android’s safe haven in the wake of Apple’s lockdown and deletion of anything considered even the slightest bit “sexy”. Here’s what developer GeneraMobile has to offer – looking up girls’ skirts. We’re not sure if it’s this same GeneraMobile or a separate group using a similar name that’s responsible for this SHAME....

Mobistealth doesn’t play coy when describing their services.  Right out of the gate, they bill their software as “Spy Software for Android”.  For as low as $49.99 (3 mo subscription), users can catch a cheating spouse with real-time updates of phone calls, pictures, location and more.  In fact, as I read through the bullet point list of features , Mobistealth seems as if it could provide darn near everything there is to...

Polarbit is the company behind popular Android games like Raging Thunder and Wave Blazer. In fact, they’ve got 5 Android Games (ToonWarz, Raging Thunder, Wave Blazer, Armageddon Squadron, Iron Sight) with 2 more on the way (Warzone, Global Race). A post on the company’s website indicates they’ve just surpassed 1 million downloads … THAT is an amazing statistic and in fact, the company has now surpassed 1 million downloads...
